Ubisoft’s XDefiant Is The New Tom Clancy F2P Multiplayer Shooter.
MMOBEEP found that a few days ago, Ubisoft had unveiled XDefiant, their perspective on a free-to-play multiplayer shooter centered on their Tom Clancy IP. The very first test is scheduled for August, and you can register on the link above.
XDefiant is being made by Ubisoft San Francisco and is defined as a F2P, fast-paced punk arena shooter. Expect modular loadouts, factions, and more.
You’ll be capable of selecting your faction, attributes, skills, and ultimates. Additionally, you can customize your primary and secondary weapons. It also seems like you can modify your weapons during battle.
XDefiant will emphasize 6v6 arena gameplay with various alternative modes like Domination and Escort. Factions comprise The Echelon from Splinter Cell, The Wolves from Ghost Recon, the Cleaners from The Division, and the Outcasts from The Division.
Essentially, from the live stream embed down below, it seems like Ubisoft’s take on Call of Duty. While XDefiant is currently scheduled for release on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, it looks like the closed test, which is on August 5, is PC-only. Nevertheless, Ubisoft pledges there will be more tests in the future.
Keep in mind, you can only register for one platform. Lastly, it looks like registered players in the test can invite up to five of their friends.
